Rowing for Reforestation:
A Tribute to Our Future

Join us on a groundbreaking journey as four dedicated fathers set out to conquer the Atlantic Ocean in December 2026, rowing for a mission that could transform our landscapes: planting 1.5 million trees in Germany.

As Team Atlantic Treebute, we will row across 3.000 miles of relentless ocean, pushing through intense physical and mental challenges to plant trees for a healthier planet. Our journey isn’t just about endurance; it’s a call to action for reforestation and resilience. Your sponsorship will empower us to reach our goal, proving that with unity, vision, and determination, even the most ambitious goals can be achieved.

OUR MISSION

We are dedicated to planting 1.5 million trees for a healthier future.

We aim to build a coalition of individuals, companies, and foundations committed to planting diverse, resilient forests. These ecosystems will stand as living proof that active, purposeful engagement can reshape the future. Today's challenges—climate change, habitat loss, ecological imbalances—demand new, active solutions. In a time when environmental anxiety is high, we want to show that with commitment, courage, and a shared goal, we can defy the odds and create real change.

The "World's Toughest Row," also known as the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, spans approximately 3,000 miles from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua in the Caribbean. It’s a test of grit, where we will row one stroke for each tree we aim to plant.

The "World's Toughest Row," also known as the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, is a grueling rowing race across the Atlantic Ocean that spans approximately 3,000 miles from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua in the Caribbean.

Four passionate fathers, united under the banner of Atlantic Tree-bute

As we undertake this expedition, none of us are professional endurance athletes, and only one of us has rowed before. We’re united by a single purpose: to create lasting change for our planet. Through fierce training, blisters, and strict diets, we aim to prove that with determination, teamwork, and a clear mission, anything is possible. This journey will celebrate the resilience of the human spirit and our collective power to create a greener world.

We will share the ups and downs of our expedition, hoping to inspire people to take action and join our movement to protect and replenish our natural world.

Physical and Mental
Demands

Our mission entails grueling physical and mental demands, including sleepless nights, harsh salt sores, and the continuous exertion of nonstop rowing. Our shifts will be two hours rowing, followed by two hours of rest, around the clock.

Safety and
Supplies

Safety is paramount. All crew members will be tethered to the boat at all times. There are no toilets onboard—only buckets. Each of us will go through close to 800 sheets of toilet paper during the crossing!

Camaraderie and
Support

While this is a race, it’s also about building a sense of unity. We’ll be sharing updates, live podcasts, and media interviews to foster a community of people who care deeply about our planet. Together, we can build a strong network of tree-planting advocates.

Healthy forests, a gift for future generations

Our journey across the Atlantic is also about renewing life on land. Soil and trees form the foundation of life, supporting everything from food production to climate balance and biodiversity. Our mission is to create diverse forests and ecosystems that not only sequester carbon but also provide habitat and resilience against climate impacts. Join us to ensure a greener, sustainable planet for future generations.
